Our current research interests include nano-photonics including the design and analysis of nano-photonic materials for the realization of wavelength and sub-wavelength scale optical elements, metasurfaces, inverse design of nanophotonic circuits, silicon-photonics (we are part of the “Silicon Photonics Research Center”), photonic neural network, topological photonics, and photovoltaics.
Kurt Research Group has been active in the field since 2008. Over the years, we have introduced many scientific outputs to the literature:
-125 research articles (between years 2008 and 2020) in prestigious journals (on average 9 papers/year),
-130 conference proceedings and papers in international conferences and workshops within the same period.
The indispensable part of my group is the researchers at all levels, MSc and Ph.D. students, post-docs, and even undergraduates. I have supervised many graduate students and post-doctoral fellows as of Aug., 2021:
-4 post-doctoral fellows
-10 Ph.D. students
-25 MSc students
We are a very productive, rewarding, and motivated research group.
